Full integration with MS Project

At lot of work in project teams is planned using a project planning tool like MS Project. pmProjectTeam offers an optional integration with MS Project to connect pmProjectTeam actions with specific tasks and milestones in the plan. The completion of these actions by the individual team members triggers the update of the ‘%complete’ of the relevant MS Project task.

The MS Project integration concept is based on following functions:

- MS Project plans are linked dynamically with projects in pmProjectTeam. Either a full or a part of an MS Project plan can be linked.

- The content of the project plan is made visible (project tasks, owners, due dates, baseline) for all pmProjectTeam users in their browsers, if they have the correct access rights. Each MS Project task can be used to create pmProjectTeam project tasks. 

- Typically, multiple pmProjectTeam actions are linked to one MS Project Task, e.g. representing different actions for different owners with different priorities and due dates. All of these actions keep a link to the MS Project task they originate from, using the internal MS Project task id as a link.
